ASPECT Studios public domain design envisioned a circular community building crowning the space, brought to life with the impressive “Birdsnest” public library designed by Kengo Kuma and Associates. The utilisation of laneways extending from the Birdsnest spurred creative design opportunities, resulting in distinctive and varied spaces. The pavement design, executed with over 48,846 pieces of 50x50mm cobbles supplied by Granites of Australia, showcases a custom pattern laid out by Sam the Paving Man. This unique lane-way design not only stands out for its creativity but also provides a memorable journey as one walks across it.
